Jean-François Larrieu, French painter, was born on 28 February 1960 in Tarbes (Hautes-Pyrenees). Even if self-proclaimed, Jean-François Larrieu, with an early gift for art and painting, between the age of eleven at the Academy of Painting François Villon. A year later, in 1972, he won the Prix François Villon. At the instigation of Jean Laforgue, Grand Prix de Rome he met in 1973, he chose the path artistic: it will become a painter.
